Legal Counsel
You will provide legal support across Austrian and EU matters, with a focus on regulatory licensing and commercial contracts. You will draft documents, advise on products and initiatives, support MiCAR and PSD2 applications, collaborate on AML/CFT and sanctions work, assist with corporate matters, and support GDPR compliance.
Responsibilities
- Advise and support operational teams
- Provide Austrian and EU regulatory legal input
- Support national and international projects
- Draft and revise contracts and policies
- Evaluate legal status and maintain compliance
- Communicate with law firms, partners, and clients
- Support cross-border legal matters
- Support MiCAR and PSD2 license applications
- Prepare regulatory documents and correspondence
- Coordinate with Austrian counsel
- Support AML/CFT and sanctions legal matters
- Assist with board resolutions and corporate secretarial work
- Support GDPR compliance
- Review data processing agreements
Requirements
- Law degree from an Austrian university
- Focus on civil and corporate law
- 1-3 years of professional experience in an international law firm or in-house legal role
- Fintech, payments, e-money, or crypto regulatory experience
- MiCAR, PSD2, or Austrian banking and payment services law familiarity
- Exceptional drafting skills in English and German
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments independently
- Clear workload and timeline communication
