Legal Counsel – Fintech (3-Month Contract)
Our client, a fast-growing fintech firm, is seeking a Legal Counsel for a 3-month contract to provide legal support, with a strong focus on employment law and litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with experience navigating employment disputes and managing contentious legal issues in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on employment law matters, including employee disputes, disciplinary actions, termination and workplace-related issues.
Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, working closely with external counsel where required.
Draft, review and negotiate employment agreements, settlement agreements and other legal documentation.
Support the business on general commercial legal matters and assess legal risks arising from business operations.
Partner with HR, Compliance and senior management to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are met.
Requirements
A recognised law degree with relevant legal experience in employment law and litigation.
Prior experience handling employment disputes, contentious matters and legal proceedings.
Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in fintech, financial services or a technology-driven environment would be advantageous.
Able to work independently and commit to a 3-month contract.
