What you’ll do
We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel with 4-7 years of experience in-house or at a law firm. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Arabic and English and have experience in negotiating procurement and real estate acquisition contracts, as well as general corporate matters and contracts review. This role is pivotal in supporting our strategic initiatives across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the drafting, review, and negotiation of a broad range of commercial real estate agreements across the GCC, including property acquisition agreements, lease agreements (as landlord and tenant), investment agreements relating to real estate assets, and other real estate-related documentation.
- Provide legal support to the real estate team on property acquisitions, leasing arrangements, and real estate investment and development projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar.
- Review and negotiate real estate transaction documents, including amendments, addenda, side letters, memoranda of understanding, and other ancillary documentation related to real estate transactions.
- Support the negotiation of commercial lease terms, including advising on risk allocation, termination rights, renewal provisions, exclusivity arrangements, and other key commercial and legal terms.
- Identify legal risks arising from real estate and commercial transactions and develop practical strategies to mitigate such risks while supporting business objectives.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar in connection with real estate and related commercial activities.
- Provide legal support in connection with general commercial transactions supporting the company’s real estate portfolio and operations, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating vendor, service, and operational agreements.
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and improvement of contract templates and internal legal processes.
- Provide general legal support on matters relating to the company’s real estate portfolio and expansion across the GCC region.
What we’re looking for
- A law degree from a recognized institution.
- 4-7 years of relevant work experience in-house or at a reputable law firm.
- Fluent in Arabic and English; strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
