Role Overview
The Legal Counsel will provide broad legal support across the business, partnering with internal stakeholders on financing, commercial, governance, compliance, and project-related matters. This role requires an experienced legal professional who can operate independently, provide practical legal advice, and contribute effectively from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support on financing and transaction-related matters, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating relevant documentation.
- Advise on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and corporate secretarial matters across the organization.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, NDAs, consultancy agreements, and other business contracts.
- Support project-related legal matters, including contract management, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel on legal and regulatory matters as required.
- Assist with day-to-day legal operations and provide general legal support across the business.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with approximately 7-8 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Prior in-house legal experience within a multinational corporation, infrastructure, real estate, construction, technology, or similar environment.
- Strong foundation gained from a reputable law firm, preferably with a corporate, commercial, finance, or transactional practice background.
- Experience handling financing transactions, commercial contracts, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and able to quickly familiarize themselves with ongoing matters.
- Experience supporting regional or cross-border matters would be advantageous.
Contract Duration: 7 months (November 2026 to June 2027)
