With ambitious expansion plans and increasing transactional activity, they are seeking a Legal Counsel who can act as a trusted advisor to leadership while supporting the organisation's next phase of growth.

Job Description

• Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice to senior management and business stakeholders
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and strategic contracts
• Support commodities trading activities, including trading, logistics, finance and operational documentation
• Lead legal workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and restructuring projects
• Advise on banking, financing, fundraising and capital markets transactions
• Manage disputes, arbitration matters and external legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions
• Drive governance, compliance and risk management initiatives while supporting board-related matters

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

• Qualified lawyer with admission to practice in a recognised jurisdiction
• Minimum 3+ years of post-qualification experience gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house environment
• Strong experience in corporate transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents
• Exposure to at least two of the following areas: M&A, fundraising, capital markets, banking and finance, or commercial disputes
• Experience advising on complex commercial agreements and business transactions
• Ability to assess legal risks pragmatically and provide commercially balanced recommendations
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior business leaders
• Comfortable operating independently within a fast-paced and evolving environment
