[What the role is]

As a Legal Counsel in the Litigation & Enforcement Department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and upholding HDB’s regulatory and legal framework.

[What you will be working on]

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal advice on legislation.
  • Advising on enforcement actions, disputes and litigation involving residential and commercial properties.
  • Advising on prosecution matters under HDB’s purview such as those involving offences under the Housing & Development Act, Parking Places Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Reviewing and advising on tenancy agreements and other contractual documents.
  • Representing HDB in court proceedings and applications, including prosecution hearings.

The role calls for a dynamic legal professional with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and the ability to lead and inspire teams.

Candidates with experience in prosecution of regulatory offences are preferred.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws degree.
  • Admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
  • At least 5 years of relevant legal experience preferred.

Successful candidates will be offered a 1 + 1 year contract
