Legal Counsel
You will provide practical legal advice across operational and functional areas. You will draft and negotiate contracts, manage legal policies, handle claims and disputes, support employment matters, oversee corporate secretarial work, assess legal risks, support data privacy and consumer protection compliance, advise on licensing, manage external counsel, and contribute to special legal projects.
Responsibilities
- Draft review and negotiate contracts
- Support contracts for core products and services
- Lead complex and high-value contract negotiations
- Manage contracting policies systems signatures and document archiving
- Implement and update group legal policies
- Manage legal claims and disputes
- Support employment matters including contracts discipline and terminations
- Oversee company secretarial responsibilities
- Identify legal risks and implement mitigations and controls
- Support data privacy compliance
- Advise on licensing and regulatory requirements
- Manage external law firms and legal service delivery
- Contribute to cross-functional legal initiatives
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Law or equivalent
- 5–7 years of professional legal experience
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English
- Experience in corporate governance and board and shareholder meetings
- Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial legal and regulatory requirements
- Contract drafting and review experience in English and French
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent writing listening and communication skills
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
