Legal Counsel

ROLE OVERVIEW

GMI Cloud is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Counsel to support our legal team in preparing and reviewing legal documents and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Document Preparation, Review and Management: Draft, review, and negotiate client and vendor agreements; create and maintain corporate documents such as policies and resolutions; ensure all records are accurate and compliant with legal standards

• Compliance and Regulatory Support: Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company and assist in implementing necessary policy changes

• Legal Research: Conduct legal research using AI tools and legal databases to gather relevant information and compile legal precedents

• External Counsel Management: Manage relationships with outside counsel, including scoping engagements, coordinating and reviewing deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher, in law or a related field

• Experience: Previous experience at law firms or in-house legal teams of technology or AI companies is a plus

• Location: United States (Pacific Time zone preferred)

• Languages: Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese, with strong verbal and written communication skills in each

• Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research databases, and AI tools applied to legal workflows

• Collaboration: Strong ability to work with colleagues and communicate effectively with external professional parties

• Execution: Ability to manage competing tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
