Legal & Regulatory Compliance Manager (Insurance Industry / $7.5k) [ID 710953]

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary regulatory liaison with authorities, coordinating and facilitating inspections and information requests.
  • Provide compliance advisory on regulatory requirements and support business units in new initiatives/projects.
  • Oversee and support local entities on compliance matters, including the localisation of Group policies and guidelines.
  • Identify and assess the impact of regulatory developments while keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging risks.
  • Manage compliance incidents, ensuring timely reporting and tracking of action plan resolutions.
  • Initiate Compliance Requirement Self Assessments (CRSA) for applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support enhancements to the eGRC system and assist relevant stakeholders during testing.
  • Prepare and coordinate compliance-related materials and reports for management meetings.
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks/projects as delegated by the immediate Supervisor or Head of Group Regulatory Compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum educational qualification of a degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 8 – 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the insurance sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Insurance Act, Financial Advisers Act, and related guidelines.
  • Strong leadership abilities, self-motivated, and capable of building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Meticulous with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
  • Adaptable and open to embracing changes.
  • Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and adept at managing various responsibilities.
