Legal Regulatory Counsel
You will build and develop the legal and regulatory function, develop and implement regulatory strategy, and manage compliance and regulatory matters. You will ensure reporting meets supervisory and audit expectations, support product development, monitor MiCAR developments, and implement data-protection and data-security policies.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop the legal and regulatory function
- Develop and implement a regulatory strategy
- Manage regulatory challenges and legal frameworks
- Ensure reporting meets local supervisory-authority and auditor expectations
- Oversee and implement compliance and regulatory strategies
- Define and implement compliance and regulatory policies
- Support new-product development with product and strategy stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory developments related to MiCAR and crypto-assets
- Manage data protection and data security, including policy implementation
Requirements
- Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into practical application
- At least 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles
- Comprehensive knowledge of the FMA and its regulations
- Sound legal knowledge in a FinTech or financial-services environment, consultancy, or law firm
- Ability to manage a varied workload and meet strict deadlines independently
- Experience managing financial-services licence applications and engaging directly with supervisory authorities is advantageous
- Experience with MiCAR, MiFID II, securities compliance, or payment and e-money institutions is advantageous
