Lemaire Service Attendant

Lemaire, the acclaimed restaurant at The Jefferson Hotel, is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Part-Time AM or PM Server Assistant / Food Runner to support our dining service team. This role is ideal for someone who is guest-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in an elegant, fast-paced dining environment. By assisting servers and running food from the kitchen, this position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth service and an exceptional dining experience for every guest.

Key Requirements

• Availability: AM Server Assistants must be available for a 7:00 AM start time. PM Server Assistants must be available for a 3:00 PM through 5:00 PM starting time. Must be available to work weekends and holidays based on business needs.
• Experience: Previous experience in a full-service restaurant is preferred but not required.
• Physical Requirements: Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and lifting moderate weights as needed.
• Professionalism: Must maintain a polished appearance, positive attitude, and professional demeanor in an upscale dining environment.
• Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities

Server Support

• Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables, refilling water, and delivering items throughout service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and polished dining environment.
• Anticipate the needs of guests and service staff to help maintain efficient and attentive service.
• Complete assigned side work and support opening and closing duties.

Food Running & Service

• Deliver food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to the dining room.
• Confirm dish details, modifications, and timing with kitchen staff before delivering food.
• Coordinate with servers to ensure dishes are delivered to the correct guests and in the proper order.
• Maintain proper food handling and presentation standards throughout service.

Team & Guest Service

• Communicate clearly with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to support seamless service.
• Respond to guest needs in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow all health, safety, and food handling standards.
• Assist team members as needed to maintain smooth operations during busy service periods.
