primary functions:
Support the operational function of credit union lending operations through various duties and responsibilities. Provide support and guidance to lenders regarding securing the credit union’s interest in loan collateral. Process ancillary product claims in a timely, efficient manner. Make recommendations for process improvements that will enhance the member and employee experience.
responsibilities:
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of credit union policies and procedures. Provide support to branch staff in regard to collateralized loans, DMV requirements and required forms.
  • Assist management in periodically reviewing DMV processes and procedures, identify issues and make recommendations for improvement to the overall process.
  • Complete the processing of all forms and related paperwork used for recording, releasing or perfecting the credit union’s interest on collateralized loans.
  • Consistently work missing title report, contact third parties and members as necessary to reduce the number of missing titles.
  • Participate in the instructional session of lending training relating to securing the credit union’s interest in the collateral, and continuing education for staff as deemed appropriate.
  • Process the paid loan report daily to ensure titles are mailed to appropriate person in a timely manner.
  • Assist with collateral protection insurance program as assigned.
  • Process lien release requests and letters of guaranty as needed. Process overnight payoff checks from dealership and other third parties.
  • Process ancillary product claims in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Comply with all Federal regulations, Credit Union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with the Credit Union's values, mission and vision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
minimum requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Credit Union or financial institution experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of DMV processes and procedures, primarily NC and surrounding states.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a desire to interact with members and credit union employees.
  • Ability to multitask and complete duties with accuracy.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of products
