Level 1 IT Support
Salary: £39,000 - 76,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong understanding of computer networking principles including LAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls
- Proficiency in desktop support for Windows (including Windows 10/11), macOS, and Linux operating systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications and troubleshooting related software issues
- Familiarity with Active Directory management and basic server administration tasks on Microsoft Windows Server platforms
- Knowledge of IT support tools such as SCCM, ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy for incident tracking and asset management
- Ability to diagnose hardware problems related to computers and peripherals such as printers or monitors
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset to assist users effectively and professionally
- Analysis skills to identify root causes of technical issues quickly and accurately
- IT support experience: 1 year preferred
- English fluently preferred
- Provide frontline technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, phone calls, and chat, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
- Troubleshoot desktop support problems across Windows and macOS operating systems, including software troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics
- Assist with network-related issues involving computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewall configurations
- Support Active Directory management tasks like user account creation, password resets, and permission adjustments
- Utilize tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy to document incidents and track resolution progress
- Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues involving Microsoft Windows Server environments or Linux systems when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of support requests and resolutions to ensure efficient follow-up and continuous improvement
