Shift Timings:

Shift rotations are required for this role to support the Global Command Center's 24x7x365 operation's schedule. Needs of the business will determine which shift the business is hiring for at the time the requisition is submitted, 1st Shift (0600-1430), 2nd Shift (14:00-22:30) or 3rd Shift (2200-0630).

Level 1 Network Administrator

Duties & Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, implement, and administer all network components and systems. Must be able to understand and troubleshoot enterprise scale network environments. Our organization includes support for current Cisco technologies as well as older Cisco technologies, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.

Required Qualifications / Abilities:

• CCNA – Required
  
• Excellent documentation skills
• Ability to perform job function with minimal supervision
• Experience troubleshooting Cisco iOS and Cisco nxOS
• Respond to automated alerts regarding system faults
• Document work performed in enterprise ticketing system (ServiceNow)
• Engage in priority tickets for initial triage and troubleshooting
• Positive attitude toward learning new technologies
• Must be able to pass a drug test and federal background check
• Works well with a team and external resources

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Certifications: CCNP (any)
• Palo Alto Certifications: (any)
• Experience with monitoring software (SolarWinds)
• 2 year degree in IT, or equivalent work experience

Secondary Qualifications:

• VMWare certifications
• Microsoft certifications (MCITP): any product
• Microsoft Azure certifications
• Documentation and communication skills
• Works well with a team and external resources
  
  

Education:

• 2-year degree or equivalent
