Level 1 Support and Monitoring Analyst
Salary: $30 – $35per hour

This is a contract position based in our Auckland office for an initial period of 8 months for maternity cover.
The Role - Support and Monitoring Analyst

We require an experienced Analyst with hands-on experience with any or all of the following techologies:
Windows Server troubleshooting experience
Hypervisor Technologies like VMware and Hyper-V
Office 365 and Azure Cloud
Veeam Backup and Replication
Associated Skills
Working in a growing Managed Services team with procedures based on ITIL Framework and governed by ISO 20000.
Monitoring policies and alerts for several systems and services such as Windows Client, Citrix Virtual Desktops, Windows Servers, HP/ Dell Server and Storage solutions.
First level event correlation and filtering to ensure events that require support personnel intervention are acted on.
Investigation and Diagnosis for Infrastructure and Application alerts – establish details of request/incident, confirm impact, identify any events that may have been a contributing factor.
Resolution and Recovery – identifying potential resolutions. Apply resolution, test and verify.
Improve and Maintain documentation.
Ability to handle incoming alerts by severity and provide critical incident communications
Provide Level 1/2 support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues
Work within change management policies to ensure success of changes
Proactive maintenance and support of customer systems
Comfortable with irregular work hours covering a 5 day shift from 11:30 to 20:00
Beneficial skills and experience
Relevant experience or education
Have an understanding of Hyper-V and VMWare virtualization, knowledge of SAN storage fundamentals, and backup practices (RTO/RPO) and methods.
Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
ISO 20000 familiarization

Work Conditions:
Work hours work are guaranteed hours of at least 33 hours per week.
Applicants should be open to working in a shift pattern and working during weekends.
Our company has an agile work policy where engineers can opt to work up to 2 to 3 days per week from home.
Office based in Grafton, Auckland.
