Why you will love this opportunity as a Level 2 Application Support Analyst at Civica

As a Level 2 Application Support Analyst at Civica, you’ll support our Civica Education Suite application products, helping customers resolve complex software issues that require detailed technical investigation.

You’ll analyse and troubleshoot application problems, investigate data and system behaviours, review logs, and work closely with Level 3 Support, Product, Engineering and Technical Operations teams to drive timely and effective resolution.

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys solving complex customer issues, working with technical detail, and communicating clearly with both customers and internal teams.

Requirements

What you will need to be successful in this role

  • Application support, ideally within an enterprise, SaaS, ERP or SIS environment
  • Strong SQL skills, including queries, joins and data validation
  • Experience troubleshooting production incidents, application errors and performance issues
  • Exposure to finance modules, such as AR, AP, GL, billing or reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues
  • Experience reviewing system logs, error traces or background jobs
  • Strong written communication skills, including experience providing customer-facing updates
  • Confidence managing SLA-driven cases and customer expectations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, Technical Operations and Support teams
  • Experience with Student Information Systems (ideally)
  • Knowledge of APIs, integrations and data synchronisation (ideally)
  • Exposure to reporting tools or education reporting modules (ideally)
