Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW)
Job Descriptions:
- Oversee and carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair works in compliance with EMA requirements, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Take charge of site generators, including EMA permit applications, renewals, and required documentation.
- Conduct monthly inspections of generators, electrical equipment, tools, and temporary electrical installations.
- Set up and maintain temporary electrical and utility services for project operations.
- Coordinate daily electrical works with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure all electrical works, equipment, and tools are safe, compliant, and properly maintained.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, emergencies, and service requests.
- Maintain proper records of inspections, testing, maintenance, permits, and rectification works.
- Support site safety initiatives, toolbox meetings, and compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the direct Superior or Management.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on electrical experience in the construction industry.
- Possess NITEC in Electrical Engineering or a related qualification.
- Possess a valid LEW Grade 7 licence, preferably registered with EMA.
- Strong hands-on experience in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and testing.
- Knowledge of Singapore electrical regulations and safety requirements.
- Experience with generators and temporary electrical installations is preferred.
- LTA / MRT / infrastructure project experience will be an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong “can-do” attitude.
- Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Willing to work 5.5 days per week, including overtime or emergency call-outs when required.
