Licensed Outpatient Therapist

Galesburg, IL • Full-Time • $75,000–$78,000/year • LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Bridgeway, Inc. is seeking an independently licensed clinician to join its Behavioral Health Services Division as a Licensed Outpatient Therapist. This full-time position is built for clinicians who want to practice at the full scope of their license: independent diagnosis, LPHA authority over assessments and treatment plans, and a central role in clinical quality within our CCBHC outpatient continuum in Galesburg, Illinois.

Bridgeway, Inc. is a comprehensive human services organization and a federally designated Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) serving individuals and families across Knox, Warren, Henderson, and Henry Counties in west-central Illinois. As a CCBHC, Bridgeway operates at the leading edge of integrated behavioral health — delivering person-centered, recovery-oriented care across a full continuum that includes outpatient therapy, crisis services, substance use treatment, psychiatric services, and community support.

Licensed Outpatient Therapists are the clinical anchor of Bridgeway’s outpatient services. The role carries a caseload spanning the lifespan and the full range of diagnostic complexity, including serious mental illness, trauma, and co-occurring substance use, with psychiatry, nursing, crisis, substance use, and peer support colleagues inside the same organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose independently and formulate DSM-5-TR diagnoses under your own Illinois license.
  • Serve as the LPHA of record: review, approve, and sign IM+CANS assessments and treatment plans for your caseload and for QMHP-level colleagues as assigned.
  • Provide individual, couples/family, and group therapy using evidence-based modalities grounded in person-centered assessment and consumer-directed treatment planning.
  • Treat complex presentations, including serious mental illness, trauma, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Provide crisis assessment, risk assessment, and safety planning; serve as backup to the Emergency Services Team.
  • Coordinate care with psychiatric providers, nurses, substance use and peer support staff, and community partners.
  • Provide clinical consultation and case review for QMHP-level colleagues and graduate interns, and contribute to team training and quality improvement.
  • Provide consultation and psychoeducation to community partners, schools, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with CCBHC, Rule 132, and CARF standards.

What You Bring

  • Current, unrestricted Illinois licensure as an LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist, required at the time of hire.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution (doctoral degree for Licensed Clinical Psychologist).
  • Demonstrated competence in at least one evidence-based modality (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT).
  • Skill and confidence with complex presentations, including serious mental illness, trauma, co-occurring disorders, and crisis.
  • Experience in a community mental health, CCBHC, FQHC, or integrated care setting preferred.
  • Experience with the IM+CANS or with providing clinical supervision or consultation is a plus.
  • Strong clinical documentation skills and comfort with electronic health records.
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.

What We Offer

  • A role that uses your full license: independent diagnosis, LPHA sign-off authority, and a voice in clinical quality.
  • An interdisciplinary CCBHC team, with psychiatric, nursing, crisis, substance use, and peer support services inside the same organization.
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Leave for All Workers (PLAW).
  • Holiday pay and bereavement pay.
  • 401(k) with employer contribution and match.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • A mission-driven organization where your clinical work directly changes lives.

Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all required background checks, including DCFS fingerprint screening and pre-employment drug testing.
