Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN

Oak Crest is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of our Director of Nursing. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.

Other Requirements:

* Ability to work in a health care and Continuing Care Retirement Community environment.

* Knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques.

* Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

* Ability to see and hear or use prosthetics adequately so that the tasks of this position can be fully met, to include the use of supplies and equipment.

* Ability to comply with all DeKalb Area Retirement Center rules, policies and procedures

* Good physical health and emotional stability

* Ability to employ patience, motivation, and tact in dealing with residents, staff, and the general public

* Ability to deal effectively with geriatric residents, multiply handicapped individuals, and potentially stressful situations

* Will be required to work weekend and holiday hours

* Ability to have a clear understanding of own responsibilities

* Ability to make clear to subordinate staff expectations

* Other duties as required or assigned
