JOB SUMMARY

This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse whose responsibility is to provide direct nursing activities for patients receiving therapeutic and diagnostic services in Medical Surgical Services, in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state, and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures and professional standards. Participates in activities that ensure the safe and efficient provision of Medical Surgical Services to neonate, infant, adolescent, and adult patient populations. Refers unusual clinical problems to the Registered Nurse. Responsible for the supervision of skilled personnel during an assigned shift. The position reports to the Director of Medical Surgical Services.
