Licensed Practical Nurse, OP (LPN) - Family Medicine, Loyalsock

UPMC Medical Group is currently looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN for the outpatient Family Medicine office in Loyalsock! This is a full-time position that works four day shifts (as scheduled between 8\:00am - 5\:00pm) and one evening shift per week (10\:00am - 7\:00pm), with occasional, four-hour, Saturday morning shifts on rotation (7-8 per year | 8\:00am - 12\:00pm).

  • $5,000.00 - 2yr Commitment | 0-1 year experience & recent graduates

Purpose\:
Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

Responsibilities\:

• Draw blood.
• Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
• Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
• Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
• Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
• Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
• Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
