Licensed Professional Counselor - Family Violence Durant

Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will provide therapy to individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. You will assist individuals to deal with issues associated with addictions and substance abuse, family, marital problems, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, aging and any other emotional stressors. You will report to the Program Manager.

Location: Durant

Schedule: Regular/Full-Time - 8:00am-4:30pm

Primary Tasks:

  1. You will provide individual, family, and group counseling for clients of Family Violence Prevention Program/ Behavioral Health programs who meet eligibility standards set by grant and participates in crisis on call rotation.
  2. Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders.
  3. Prepare and maintain all treatment records and uphold client safety standards.
  4. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical needs of clients.
  5. You will be liaison between program staff, clients, relatives, internal and outside agencies.
  6. Interpret and help resolve problems that relate to medical condition and hospitalization.
  7. Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans.
  8. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related human services
  • Must be a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC, LCSW, LADC-MH, LMFT) or under management for licensure
  • Understand dynamics of domestic violence/intimate partner violence
  • 1+ years working experience in a range of specialized interventions and treatment modalities. This includes individual, group, and family counseling or psychotherapy, case management interventions, diagnostic assessment and related interventions with substance abuse and mental health disorders (co-occurring treatment).
