OUR MISSION
The mission of the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy is to regulate the profession and practice of pharmacy in the interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the state of Louisiana by restricting the entry into the practice of pharmacy to those persons meeting the minimum qualifications for licensure and by monitoring and regulating the professional practice of its licensees to ensure their compliance with the laws and rules governing the practice of pharmacy.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Licensing Analysts with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy ensure that applicants possess the minimum qualifications required to be granted a credential and help existing credential holders renew, reinstate, and maintain their credentials.

Three years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Answering questions about minimum qualifications for credentials and the application process by telephone and email
Reviewing applications and supporting documents to determine eligibility for credentials
Explaining deficiencies with applications
Explaining laws and regulations to credential holders and applicants
Processing applications for the renewal of credentials
Updating records (name, address, email, etc.)

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
