Licensing Clerk

Position Summary

The Licensing Specialist is a regulatory position responsible for assisting in developing, maintaining, and tracking all records and support documentation pertaining to gaming applicants and vendors subject to the licensing process as defined by the Tribal Gaming Commission and applicable Federal Law. This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. The Licensing Specialist is expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives of applicable programs.

This position is responsible to and subject to the CIN Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual.

Essential Functions

An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Greet and communicate with vendors and employees of the Gaming Operation, ensuring a professional and timely response to questions or correspondence.
  • Review completed applications, checking for inconsistencies, errors, omissions, falsifications, and minimum requirements to ensure accuracy and completion before beginning initial candidate interviews.
  • Provide guidance to vendors and employees seeking licensure or questioning the process to complete the Catawba licensing process.
  • Provide technical assistance to users of the licensing systems as needed such as resetting passwords, status change forms, completing applications, or other.
  • Accurately enter and interpret data from applications, Two Kings point of contacts, and the Licensing Director.
  • Identify confidential information and follow procedures for safeguarding such information.
  • Assist in ensuring invoices for vendors and employees are accurate.
  • Complete reviews and audits of the licensing department information ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Obtain, enter, and maintain pertinent documents, information, and statistical data into the licensing software system for both vendors and gaming employees as directed.
  • Complete annual CJIS training.
  • Processing vendor and employee license renewals as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
