What is this role about?
We are looking for a Life Sciences CRM Solutions Architect to lead the architecture, solution design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of CRM solutions for life sciences clients.
The role will serve as a senior technical and functional leader with primary responsibility for Veeva Vault CRM, while also providing architectural leadership across Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and legacy Veeva CRM environments. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, project teams, and technology partners to translate business needs into scalable, compliant, and integrated CRM solutions.
Life Sciences CRM Solutions Architect
Location: Remote (EST)
Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture for CRM implementations, enhancements, migrations, and rollouts.
  • Serve as the primary CRM solution architect and subject matter expert for Vault CRM, including platform capabilities, configuration, data, security, workflows, and integrations.
  • Define and maintain CRM architecture across Vault CRM, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and legacy Veeva CRM environments as appropriate to client needs.
  • Lead CRM-side architecture for integrations and interfaces between CRM platforms and other enterprise systems, including data platforms, MDM, analytics, commercial applications, and external services.
  • Define life sciences CRM business processes, solution designs, integration flows, configuration approaches, and supporting technical architecture.
  • Conduct Business Requirements and Solution Design workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and non-functional requirements, solution designs, user stories, process flows, and technical specifications.
  • Assess existing CRM environments and recommend modernization, optimization, migration, and integration strategies.
  • Design practical solutions that balance business requirements, platform capabilities, scalability, maintainability, data integrity, security, and regulatory considerations.
  • Develop or oversee proof-of-concept solutions and prototypes using applicable CRM configuration tools, APIs, integration technologies, and platform capabilities.
  • Provide architectural leadership throughout implementation, including design reviews, configuration oversight, integration decisions, testing strategy, deployment planning, and production readiness.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to ensure CRM solutions support key life sciences commercial processes, including field engagement, account and territory management, customer data, call activity, content and engagement, and omnichannel initiatives.
  • Provide solution consulting and architectural support for CRM managed services, enhancements, and ongoing support.
  • Work closely with Salesforce and Veeva specialists to ensure appropriate platform decisions and a cohesive overall CRM architecture.
  • Provide technical leadership for legacy Veeva CRM environments, including enhancements, integrations, support, and transition or modernization planning where applicable.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to CRM configuration, development, integration, and technical resources.
  • Lead or direct the work of CRM resources and ensure assignments, deliverables, and technical decisions remain aligned with the overall solution architecture.
  • Participate in client presentations and executive-level discussions, providing clear recommendations regarding CRM strategy, architecture, platform capabilities, and emerging technologies.
  • Stay current with the evolving capabilities of Veeva Vault CRM and Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, as well as broader life sciences CRM and commercial technology trends.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, architecting, or supporting CRM solutions, preferably within the life sciences industry.
  • 5+ years of experience with Veeva CRM and/or Veeva Vault CRM, with strong hands-on knowledge of CRM architecture and implementation.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Veeva Vault CRM and the ability to lead solution architecture for complex implementations and enhancements.
  • Experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud and/or Salesforce Health Cloud is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and its role within an omnichannel CRM ecosystem is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting or modernizing legacy Veeva CRM environments.
  • Strong understanding of CRM integrations, APIs, data flows, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience working with CRM-related MDM, data warehouse/data lake, analytics, and commercial technology ecosystems is a plus.
  • Experience conducting business requirements, process design, and solution architecture workshops with client stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable technical and functional solutions.
  • Strong understanding of life sciences commercial processes and the unique requirements of pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.
  • Experience leading or mentoring CRM configuration, development, and integration resources.
  • Strong client-facing consulting skills, including presentations, solution recommendations, executive communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work effectively across business, functional, technical, and project management teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Certifications
  • Veeva Vault CRM certification or equivalent Veeva CRM certification.
  • Salesforce certification(s), such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, or relevant Life Sciences/Marketing Cloud certifications, is a plus.
  • Additional integration, architecture, or cloud certifications are a plus.
