Life Support Instructor- PRN
General Summary
Conducts community life support training programs on an "as needed" basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Facilitates the delivery of American Heart Association (AHA) life support education programs.
- Adheres to all AHA guidelines.
- Ensures accurate record control.
- Maintains appropriate credentialing for educational role.
- Uses feedback from program evaluation mechanisms to improve performance.
- Fulfills annual minimum scheduling requirements.
Common Expectations:
- Provides coaching, feedback, and mentorship to class participants.
- Completes and submits course records and rosters accurately and on time. Retains/transfers documents per Training Center procedures and PAM recordkeeping requirements.
- Takes responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of education facilities and properly maintains department equipment.
- Maintains open communication with Training Center Coordinator and appointed Training Center Faculty.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
Travel Requirements:
- Estimated Amount: 50% - Travel required
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
Licenses:
- Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- Certified BLS Instructor Upon Hire Required or
- ACLS Instructor Certification Upon Hire Required or
- Ped Adv Life Support Instructor Upon Hire Required
Driver's License Statement:
Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
