About the Role:

As a Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Borrowell’s core member lifecycle & subscription product lifecycle, including lead nurture, onboarding, engagement, churn prevention, and reactivation. You will ensure a seamless member experience across email, push, and in-app channels. As the lifecycle lead, you will also own the lifecycle roadmap, set the standards for contact strategy and targeting logic, and design experiments to drive platform discovery, product engagement, and retention.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years in lifecycle marketing, CRM, retention, or marketing automation with direct ownership of triggered and journey-based programs.
  • Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with an enterprise ESP or engagement platform (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, Klaviyo).
  • Strategic Capability: Proven ability to shape contact strategy, frequency rules, suppression logic, and journey prioritization.
  • Targeting & Experimentation: Strong experience building behavior- and intent-based targeting and designing lifecycle experiments that move F30 discovery and retention metrics.
  • Data Fluency: Ability to design audience logic, implement dynamic scripting in content, interpret performance in BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau), and work with propensity model outputs.
  • Communication: Clear, structured communication skills to manage cross-functional partnerships and reporting for senior audiences.

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on Braze experience
  • Subscription retention experience (churn, cancel saves, win-back).
  • Experience with propensity, churn-risk, or next-best-action models.
  • Fintech or regulated consumer environment experience.
  • Basic SQL proficiency.
  • HTML/CSS familiarity.
  • Knowledge of anti-spam regulations (CASL, CAN-SPAM) and deliverability fundamentals.
  • CDP/Reverse-ETL experience (e.g., Hightouch, Segment, mParticle).

We are remote-first across Canada with an office in Toronto. This role will require you to attend in-person meetings and team-building events once or twice a month at our Toronto office.

The budgeted annual salary range for this role is $90,000 – $140,000 CAD. Starting pay is determined by the candidate's relevant experience and skills. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for Borrowell’s full benefits package.
