Focus Partners is seeking a hands-on Lifecycle Marketing Manager to design, build, deploy, and optimize the campaigns and journeys that support firm growth, client experience, and multi-firm communications.This is a full-stack role combining technical Salesforce Marketing Cloud execution with lifecycle strategy. The individual will personally build campaigns, automations, audience segments, and journeys while helping define program structure, cadence, testing, and optimization. Candidates must have several years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement experience. This is not a strategy-only or general digital marketing role.
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
Build and deploy email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement using Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
Own end-to-end campaign execution, including audience segmentation, data extensions, SQL queries, dynamic content, personalization, send configuration, and deployment.
Build and optimize Journey Builder programs, including entry criteria, decision logic, cadence, re-entry rules, suppression logic, and exit criteria.
Configure and QA landing pages, forms, and CloudPages supporting prospect, event, advisor, and client engagement programs.
Own lifecycle strategy for assigned programs, including prospecting, nurture, pre-consultation, client engagement, and advisor-facing journeys.
Translate business objectives into journey architecture, audience definitions, contact strategies, testing plans, and measurable success criteria.
Develop and manage A/B and multivariate testing across subject lines, content, send timing, audience treatments, and journey paths.
Analyze campaign and journey performance and recommend improvements to segmentation, personalization, cadence, content, and journey logic.
Execute recurring and one-time communications for Focus Partners and affiliated firms, including newsletters, event invitations, and lifecycle touchpoints.
Own campaign QA and release readiness across audience accuracy, content, links, data mapping, tracking, rendering, deliverability, and compliance.
Investigate and resolve data issues, deliverability incidents, failed automations, audience errors, and journey failures.
Partner with Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, Content, Client Development, Compliance, CRM, IT, and agency partners to translate briefs into production-ready campaigns.
Collaborate with the broader Marketing Cloud team on data extensions, integrations, reusable components, documentation, platform governance, and build standards.
Maintain campaign tracking and documentation, including UTMs, naming conventions, audience definitions, journey logic, testing, and change history.
Apply AI tools to accelerate content iteration, personalization, documentation, testing, and campaign QA.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
Three or more years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM marketing, or marketing automation.
At least three years of recent, hands-on experience building and deploying in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, formerly ExactTarget.
Production experience with Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio is required.
Experience creating and managing data extensions, SQL-based audience segmentation, journey logic, dynamic content, personalization, and automated workflows.
Demonstrated ability to own both lifecycle strategy and the hands-on technical execution required to launch it.
Experience with campaign QA, troubleshooting, deliverability, subscription management, and CAN-SPAM or GDPR requirements.
Experience supporting client-facing or regulated communications is a plus; financial services, wealth management, banking, insurance, or healthcare experience is preferred.
Experience with AMPscript, CloudPages, HTML/CSS, APIs, Marketing Cloud integrations, Data 360/Data Cloud, Snowflake, Salesforce CRM, or HubSpot is a plus.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Administrator, Consultant, or Developer certification is preferred.
Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, Writer, or Einstein to accelerate campaign work is a plus.
This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $85,000–$107,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
