About the Role

You will design, build, and improve multichannel lifecycle campaigns that drive activation, engagement, retention, and monetization. Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and maintain automated email, push notification, and in-app campaigns using CRM platforms such as Braze or Iterable.
  • Optimize customer journeys across onboarding, active engagement, reactivation, and winback.
  • Use AI/LLM tools for briefs, copy variants, QA, and reporting, while testing smarter, more personalized lifecycle programs.
  • Run experiments across subject lines, send times, content, and channel mix to improve performance and drive incremental lift.
  • Track open rates, CTR, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates, churn, and winbacks. Translate results into actionable insights for the wider team.
  • Collaborate with User Acquisition, Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success on an integrated marketing and promotional calendar.
  • Work with Design, Product, Engineering, and Data to bring the right events and attributes into Braze for triggering and personalization.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or retention marketing, ideally within consumer technology or subscription services.
  • Hands-on experience building automated workflows in CRM platforms such as Braze or Iterable.
  • Daily experience with AI/LLM tools, with concrete examples of saving time or improving results. Every Sword hire must demonstrate at least Explorer-level AI proficiency: using AI daily to improve personal productivity.
  • Strong analytical skills, including pulling cohorts, interpreting results, and identifying next steps. Experience with a BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email template troubleshooting, plus an understanding of data structures, APIs, and event-based triggering.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and QA discipline while managing multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Nice to have

  • Strong copywriting and editing skills.
  • Experience with AI-driven personalization or predictive CRM features, such as Braze Intelligence.
  • Experience with partnership or B2B2C campaigns.
