Lifeguard and Pool Assistant (Part Time)

We are looking for a responsible and reliable person to supervise our school swimming pool, carry out simple pool checks and help keep the pool area clean and safe. The role also includes supporting the PE and Facilities teams during agreed working hours when the pool is not in use.

Role and Responsibility

• Supervise students during swimming lessons and other pool activities.

• Watch swimmers carefully, follow pool safety rules and respond to emergencies.

• Carry out basic pool checks during scheduled shifts, including recording water quality readings after training.

• Check rescue equipment and report any safety concerns.

• Help keep the poolside, changing areas and swimming equipment clean and tidy.

• Report pool or equipment problems to the Facilities team.

• Prepare and put away swimming and PE equipment.

• Help with school sports activities and other reasonable practical tasks during scheduled shifts when not supervising swimmers.

• Follow school safeguarding and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Able to swim confidently and carry out required rescue skills.

• Appropriate lifeguard, first aid and CPR qualifications. Responsible, punctual and comfortable working with children.

• Able to follow instructions and complete simple checklists.

• Good Thai communication skills; basic English is an advantage.

• Previous pool or lifeguard experience is helpful but not essential.
