Lifeguard (Full-Time)
Actively monitor and maintain constant vigilance over swimmer and member activity

Perform rescues and respond to emergencies as necessary

Enforce all pool safety rules using whistle and voice

Clear the pool during thunder or lightning
-
Prevent unsafe behaviors such as diving in shallow water or horseplay
-
Provide excellent customer service to members and guests
-
Respond to questions and concerns in a friendly and helpful manner
-
Test and record pool chemicals
-
Clean and organize:
-
Emergency equipment
-
Pool equipment
-
Bathrooms
-
Pool deck and furniture
-
Pool grounds
-
Sell concessions
-
Assist party and pool renters during events
-
Cross-trained as an assistant swim lesson instructor
Cross-trained to support the front desk, including:

Monitoring and opening the front entrance

Answering the phone
-
Checking in members
-

Follow all emergency, safety, and security procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work with all age groups
- Knowledge of Jewish culture, values, and traditions (not required)
- Engaging, Responsive, Professional
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding / First Aid / CPR / AED Certification
- Must be willing to work outdoors in seasonal heat (100F+) or cold inclement weather
- Required to know how to swim, and can swim a minimum of 300 yards
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, bending, squatting, walking and climbing up minimal heights
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
