Summary
Lifeguard needed to supervise swimming activities at the Orange Grove Center pool, ensuring safety procedures are followed and providing assistance to adults with disabilities. Responsibilities include enforcing pool regulations, administering first aid and CPR, rescuing swimmers, inspecting facilities, and providing basic swimming instruction. Position is 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Lifeguard Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Supervises swimming activities at the Orange Grove swimming pool and ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
- Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.
- Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
- Evaluates conditions for safety and recommends improvements to supervisory staff.
- Inspects pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.
- Instructs or assists individuals with fundamentals of swimming as needed.
- Understands and follows scheduling program scheduling and priorities to ensure safe pool environment
This is a full-time position which will require work during regular OCG hours between 9:00 am and 3 pm, Monday – Friday. This position is 30 hours a week.
