Responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests in and around the pool area by actively monitoring swimmers, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies. Provides excellent guest service, maintains a professional presence, and follows all health and safety standards.
Must be 16 years of age Lifeguard certification; CPR for the Professional Rescuer; First Aid training (must be certified prior to employment) Enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills Ability to tolerate a close‑knit environment with constant co‑worker interaction Ability to work in extreme temperatures and other adverse conditions Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to stand and move throughout the pool area efficiently, regardless of temperature Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to perform under pressure and handle emergency situations Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Additional Requirements Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs Must be able to swim 500 meters nonstop using sidestroke, crawl, or backstroke Must be able to lift lounge chairs and move towel carts during shifts Requires heavy lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling Must be available to work weekends and holidays
