GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Life Skills Manager directs and manages the Life Skills Development Programs including Adult Day Training, Follow Along Supported Employment, and Companion across all sites to assist individuals with disabilities in maintaining and developing independence through person centered planning while meeting all State, Federal, and Diocesan requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (The essential functions/major responsibilities listed are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. -Create the weekly schedules of staff and clients

- Supervise life skills staff in the provision of service and complete annual evaluations

-Train new staff and provide ongoing training activities in compliance

-Ensure compliance with all life skills documentation across all programs including but not limited to daily service logs, implementation plans, employment stability plans, quarterly and annual reports, incident reports, attendance logs, and annual and ongoing documentation requirements

-Maintains service authorizations; generates and submits life skills billing data

-Sends and documents life skills paperwork monthly in accordance with the handbook timelines

- Monitors utilization of services provided according to authorizations and program budget

-Develop and manage curriculum for Adult Day Training programs

- Establish community partnerships for meaningful community activities

- Review client support plan goals and implementation plans to ensure needs are being met and justification of rate is achieved.

- Provides supervision and direct service to clients as needed

-Act as a liaison to community partners, families, guardians, waiver support coordinators,here are status changes in a client.

behavioral analysts and/or other agencies providing services to residents.

-Assist in developing program manuals and procedures

- Under the direction of the Director of Employment and Vocational Programs, maintain program waitlist and follow procedure for admitting new clients into the programs

- Transports clients in the community during the program using Magnify vehicles.cheduling issues, and staff support

- Conduct all essential functions in accordance with established policies and procedures.

- Other duties as assigned.



JOB SCOPE:

Position encounters varied work situations with moderate complexity, operating from established procedures and the planning and execution of new initiatives. Operates with little supervision and executes independent judgment and management in assigned areas of responsibility. May supervise other employees, volunteers, or vendors. Position maintains files containing sensitive and confidential documents.
