Lift Ops - Supervisor
Description
Position Overview
Mt. Hood Meadows is seeking a passionate, safety-minded, and guest-focused Lift Operations Supervisor to join our mountain operations leadership team. In this dynamic role, you’ll oversee multiple chairlift crews and help ensure lifts operate safely, efficiently, and consistently while delivering an exceptional experience to our guests. You’ll be a visible leader on the mountain, setting the standard for safety, professionalism, teamwork, and great guest service.
As a Lift Operations Supervisor, you’ll lead and support Lift Operators in Charge, Lift Attendants, and Leads while working closely with Dispatch, Patrol, Grooming, Lift Maintenance, and other resort departments. You’ll train and coach employees, monitor safety and operational procedures, respond to lift incidents, manage staffing and overtime, and help keep crews, equipment, lift areas, and documentation ready for daily operations. From coordinating snow work and grooming needs to communicating changing mountain conditions and helping resolve guest concerns, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping the mountain moving.
This is a full-time, seasonal leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced mountain environment and knows how to balance people leadership with operational precision. The ideal candidate is an experienced supervisor who can make sound decisions under pressure, communicate clearly over the radio, adapt to changing conditions, and lead by example in challenging winter weather. If you’re ready to lead from the front, develop a strong team, and make a visible impact on the mountain every day, this is an opportunity to be at the heart of Lift Operations at Mt. Hood Meadows.
