Light Assembly - Slot Deburring - 1st Shift
Summary
Operate a deburring machine to remove burrs from stainless steel brackets, inspect parts, and maintain quality standards in a manufacturing setting.
Job Summary:
Feed stainless steel wire into a machine to remove burrs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Feed strips of brackets into a deburring machine to remove burrs
- Degrease strips of brackets to remove oil used in the slotting process
- Use some hand tools to remove burrs
- Identify and mark nonconforming brackets
- Read and understand part drawings, and machine parts to specification
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with calipers, micrometers, toolmakers microscope a plus
- 2 years experience in direct manufacturing
- Must be able to sit for up to 8 to 10 hours per day
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to look at small parts for extended periods of time
