Light Vehicle / Mobile Plant Mechanic

The Role
We are seeking motivated and reliable light vehicle, mobile plant (or similar) mechanics or 3rd / 4th year apprentices. We offer the opportunity to routinely do technically challenging mechanical repair work. Whilst Service work is important to us, it only accounts for about 20% of our workshop activity.
Over recent years we have employed a number of light vehicle mechanics, who have all transitioned into working on trucks, buses and diesel engines. They have become valued members of our workshop team and created a new career path for themselves, with further opportunities if desired leading to supervisory positions.

Skills / Experience

Cert 3 in Light Vehicle, or Mobile Plant Mechanics (or similar).
Or 3rd or 4th year Apprentice undertaking an apprenticeship in such trades.
The job can be physically demanding, so you must be able to pass an unrestricted duties medical, which includes a drug screening test. We conduct ongoing random drug screening.
