LIGHTING DESIGNER

Sol Luminaire, an architectural lighting studio founded in Singapore, is growing.

We are looking for a Lighting Designer to join our team and create lighting solutions that bring design concepts to life and enhance the experience of spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Develop creative lighting designs for retail, commercial, and residential projects based on client needs and design intent
• Prepare lighting layouts, calculations, technical drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and DIALux evo
• Recommend lighting fixtures and control systems that balance design requirements, performance, and budget
• Work closely with clients, architects, interior designers, and project teams throughout the design and implementation process
• Provide technical support and resolve lighting-related issues during project execution

The Ideal Candidate:

• Diploma or Degree in Lighting Design, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in lighting design, interior design, architecture, or a related industry
• Demonstrated portfolio of lighting or design projects, with relevant project credits and experience contributing to medium-to-large-scale projects
• Good understanding of lighting principles, calculations, and industry standards. Experience with smart lighting systems is an advantage
• Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about developing thoughtful design solutions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams
