Lighting Director

Description

As a Lighting Director, you are an integral member of the Production team. The Lighting Director is responsible for creating engaging and distraction-free visual environments that support worship experiences across all Connection Pointe locations. This role collaborates with Production and Creative Arts staff to design, program, and operate lighting systems, LED wall content, and other visual production elements for weekend services, special events, and ministry gatherings.

• Creates excellent, distraction-free worship environments that help people connect to Jesus and each other.
• Develops and equips lighting and visual production volunteers so ministry is multiplied across Connection Pointe locations.
• Supports worship, special events, and ministry gatherings with creative visual production that amplifies the mission of Connection Pointe.

Key Job Duties

• Serve as the primary lighting and LED wall content designer/programmer for weekend services and special events at the Brownsburg location.
• Design, program, and resource lighting and worship background content for services and special events at all other locations.
• Design, program and execute dynamic lighting environments that enhance worship experiences and align with the vision and values of Connection Pointe.
• Provide Lighting and production support for special events, conferences, and ministry gatherings across all locations.

Creative Collaboration

• Collaborate in the planning and implementation of stage designs, including brainstorming, design concepts, construction support, and organizational details for all locations.
• Help develop and maintain a visual worship style that reflects current worship culture trends while remaining aligned with the culture and leadership of Connection Pointe.
• Contribute creative ideas and solutions during Creative Arts and Production planning meetings.

Systems and Equipment

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of lighting and production systems across all locations.
• Maintain organization and functionality of lighting equipment, networking, and control systems.
• Ensure production environments are safe, clean, and operating efficiently.
• Recruit train, schedule, and shepherd volunteers serving in lighting and visual production roles.
• Foster a healthy, team-oriented culture among staff and volunteers that values excellence, humility, and spiritual growth.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support other production needs assigned by the Production Director.
• Participate in all church events and ministry initiatives as needed.

Key Collaborations

• Production and Creative Arts staff to design and execute lighting environments, LED wall content, worship backgrounds, and visual production elements.
• Worship leaders and ministry teams to support weekend services, special events, conferences, and ministry gatherings across all locations.
• Location and volunteer teams to maintain safe, clean, organized, and effective production environments.
