Requirements
We are seeking an experienced LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) Sample Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of sample management within our LIMS system, ensuring efficient tracking, handling, and processing of samples. This role requires a deep understanding of LIMS functionality, sample workflows, and laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample Management: Oversee the receipt, registration, tracking, and storage of samples in the LIMS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laboratory standards.
- LIMS Administration: Configure and maintain the LIMS system to support sample management processes, including creating and updating sample workflows, data entry forms, and reporting tools.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of sample data within the LIMS system, performing regular audits and validations as needed.
- User Support: Provide training and technical support to laboratory staff on LIMS usage, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing sample management processes.
- Compliance: Ensure that all sample management activities adhere to regulatory and quality standards, including Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO requirements.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute reports on sample status, turnaround times, and other key metrics to stakeholders, ensuring timely communication of critical information.
- Collaboration: Work closely with laboratory teams, IT staff, and external partners to ensure seamless integration of the LIMS system with other laboratory instruments and systems.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving sample management processes and workflows, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of sample-related materials, including reagents and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience working with LIMS in a laboratory environment.
- Strong understanding of laboratory sample management processes and workflows.
- Proficiency in configuring and administering LIMS software.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards for laboratory operations.
