We're looking for people who genuinely love great food to join us as Line Cooks. This is a fast-paced role at the heart of the guest experience — you'll help deliver the kind of culinary moments that make an Ameswell stay memorable. We welcome both full-time and part-time associates.
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes to meet production, delivery, and service schedules
- Portions and plates food to standard, ensuring correct temperature, taste, and presentation; tastes all prepared items
- Follows established ticket-collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records for the area worked
- Cleans the kitchen after preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the shift
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean, neat, and organized per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists with production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, guests, and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen environment with changing priorities
- Strong attention to food safety, sanitation, and presentation standards
- Ability to work well with coworkers, guests, and manager
- Reliable and professional, with flexibility to work full-time or part-time shifts
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed
- Repeating the same movements throughout the shift
- Bending or twisting the body, and kneeling, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed
- Using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs. (equipment, chemicals, tools, etc.)
