Line Cook -Food Truck
Twisted Squirrel is the food truck serving Brevard College students. Our core menu is smash burgers, buttermilk chicken tenders, and loaded waffle fries. Every month we roll out a new themed menu: Smokehouse BBQ, Korean-inspired tacos, Mexican street tacos, paninis, udon bowls, and Mediterranean gyros. If you're tired of cooking the same eight tickets every night, this job fixes that. You'll work directly with a career executive chef, so you'll learn something. Day shifts will be 9:30 am - 4:30 pm Mon-Thur and Fridays 9:30 am - 3 pm. Evening shifts will be 4 pm - 10:30 pm Mon - Thur and possibly Sunday 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm.
What you'll do:
• Run the flat-top and fryer through the lunch and late-night rushes
• Prep, portion, and set the line before open
• Learn and execute a new themed menu each month
• Keep the truck clean, organized, and inspection-ready: temps logged, close done right
• Help with receiving, rotation, and inventory counts
What we're looking for:
• 1+ year of line cook experience (flat-top and fryer a plus)
• Fast and calm when the window stacks up
• On time, every shift
• Comfortable working in a tight, hot space with one or two other cooks
• Able to stand a full shift and lift 50 lbs
• Reliable transportation to Brevard
• ServSafe Food Handler a plus
• Must pass a background check before your start date
