Job Summary

Scarpetta Nomad is looking for a Line Cook who prepares high-quality menu items according to established recipes, food safety standards, and service expectations. This role works closely with the kitchen team to support efficient service and a clean, organized work environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and guest orders.
Set up and stock assigned station before service and maintain supplies throughout the shift.
Coordinate with other kitchen team members to prepare orders accurately and on time.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
Keep work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and organized.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation.
Receive, store, and rotate food supplies as directed.
Communicate supply needs, equipment concerns, and service issues to the appropriate team member.
Assist with other kitchen duties as needed.

Qualifications
2 years of previous kitchen or line-cook experience preferred; equivalent experience or training may be considered.
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle kitchen equipment and supplies.
Availability to work scheduled shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment

This position works in a commercial kitchen with exposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools, and varying temperatures. The role requires following applicable workplace safety and food-handling requirements.

*Schedule will be Monday Through Friday 8am-4pm
