Tribute Eatery & Bar is looking for Line Cooks to join our kitchen team in Coralville, IA!

Tribute is a neighborhood dining destination known for elevated comfort food, handcrafted cocktails, and a lively, welcoming environment. Our kitchen team plays an important role in bringing that experience to life by preparing consistent, high quality meals and working together to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Compensation

$15 - $22 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparing food ingredients and menu components according to restaurant recipes and guidelines
• Organizing, stocking, and maintaining your assigned kitchen station
• Cooking and preparing dishes using grills, fryers, broilers, sauté equipment, and other kitchen tools
• Following established recipes, portion sizes, and cooking procedures
• Monitoring food quality, accuracy, and presentation before dishes leave the kitchen
• Using proper food storage, labeling, rotation, and handling practices
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout kitchen workspaces and equipment
• Restocking ingredients, products, and kitchen supplies as needed during service
• Assisting with food storage, cleaning assignments, and inventory-related tasks
• Coordinating with other cooks, kitchen managers, and team members to support timely food preparation
• Providing additional support with prep work, cooking stations, and other kitchen activities as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience in a line cook, prep cook, or similar restaurant kitchen role preferred
• Ability to manage responsibilities and stay organized in a fast-paced kitchen
• Reliable, team-oriented approach to daily work
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating with kitchen coworkers and leadership
• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and assist with different kitchen responsibilities
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
