Summary
Mid/senior Linux Administrator (3 permanent roles) to design, build, maintain and troubleshoot complex RHEL-based systems for a major multi-year Australian Defence ICT program, including fixing vulnerabilities and mentoring the Linux team. Requires an active or reinstatable NV1/NV2 security clearance.
Salary: $120k - $160k p.a.

We are looking to support a major, multi-year Defence ICT program aimed to support the ADF across numerous domains of ICT. As a result, we are looking to her multiple mid to senior level positions across ICT infrastructure, applications and databases that will build, sustain and manage key defence environments across the ADF working with a business newly awarded this key program. In particular, we are looking to hire three Linux Administrators with skills across RHEL and application-layer system administration at mid and senior level positions.
In this role you will:
- Lead, design, build and maintain complex RHEL-based defence systems.
- Troubleshoot, resolve and document issues relating to Linux in an enterprise defence environment used by all branches of the ADF.
- Identify recurring issues and vulnerabilities in the existing environment, advising and then executing fixes.
- Mentor and share knowledge with the wider Linux administration team.
What's needed from you:
- You must have a NV2 or NV1 security clearance active or reinstatable to be considered for this position.
- At least 3 years of experience in Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux) administration in large, complex and regulated environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
