Linux System Administrator (HPC)
- $6,000 – $7,000/month, negotiable for strong profiles
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm (After-hours/weekend support is required - only in the event of faults)
- Location - Buona Vista Area
- Contract - Minimum 1 year (renewable)
- Singapore Citizens only (CAT2A security clearance)
About the Role
We are looking for an HPC System Administrator to support and maintain Linux-based HPC infrastructure and ensure the stability, availability and performance of the compute environment.
You will be responsible for Linux system administration, OS lifecycle management, configuration management, system monitoring and infrastructure troubleshooting across compute and login nodes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Linux/Red Hat Linux systems and compute nodes.
- Support and maintain HPC login and compute nodes.
- Perform OS patching, system updates and lifecycle management.
- Carry out system configuration changes and configuration management.
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot OS, system and node-related issues.
- Support HCI and virtualisation environments.
- Investigate hardware and OS-related incidents and coordinate with OEMs when required.
- Perform post-maintenance validation and troubleshoot failed changes.
- Support incident recovery and planned maintenance activities.
- Maintain system configuration records and technical documentation.
- Perform approved system changes and operational activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Linux/System Administration.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux administration.
- RHCSA or equivalent/higher certification.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent/higher certification.
- Experience in Linux system troubleshooting and lifecycle management.
- Experience with shell scripting.
- Knowledge of configuration management, monitoring, incident management and change management.
- Experience supporting compute nodes, login nodes, HCI or virtualisation environments will be advantageous.
- Willing to provide P1/P2 support and work after office hours/weekends when required for faults.
