Job Duties

  • Work on customer sites within semiconductor cleanroom environments.
  • Provide software support for all Semiconductor customers in the Canon’s region.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and prepare technical reports for customers.
  • Set up and maintain lithography tools and related supporting software.
  • Learn and apply fundamental knowledge of lithography tools and operations.
  • Prepare software release notes and customer-facing documentation in English.
  • Provide support during weekends, public holidays, or nighttime when required (infrequent but possible).
  • Travel overseas for business, mainly within Southeast Asia, Japan, Taiwan, and India (future).
  • Collaborate closely with on-site engineers and overseas Canon software engineers.
  • Communicate directly with customers and deliver clear technical reports.
  • Escalate software issues to Japan headquarters when necessary.
  • Plan and conduct software training or knowledge-sharing sessions for engineers and team members.
  • Act as a bridge between Japan headquarters and local engineers for software-related issues.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in software support for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Proficiency in the Japanese language (reading, writing, and speaking); Japanese fluency as to support Japanese related customer and HQ
  • Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux OS commands and operations.
  • Experience with online specifications, including requirement clarification and specification negotiation with customers, is preferred.
