Location:

North Palm Beach, Florida. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for the first year, giving you the chance to integrate closely with our team and clients. Following one year of successful continuous service, a hybrid work option may become available based on performance, demonstrated independence, and firm needs.

Note:

Candidates must be active members in good standing with The Florida Bar and have 5+ years of substantive civil litigation experience. You should be comfortable independently managing matters through multiple stages of litigation. Prior probate, trust, estate, guardianship, or elder law experience is preferred but not required.

Job Description

  • Independently manage civil litigation matters from initial strategy through discovery, mediation, trial preparation, and final resolution.
  • Develop case strategy, analyze legal and factual issues, assess risk, and provide practical recommendations to clients.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, petitions, memoranda, discovery, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions and prepare clients and witnesses for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial.
  • Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, evidentiary proceedings, and trials.
  • Lead or participate in settlement negotiations and advise clients regarding risks, options, and potential outcomes.
  • Manage court deadlines, discovery obligations, case calendars, and other critical litigation requirements.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, administrative staff, experts, financial professionals, and opposing counsel.
  • Delegate work effectively while retaining ownership and accountability for assigned matters.
  • Participate in professional development, networking, client development, and growth of the litigation practice.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 5+ years of substantive civil litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, advocacy, and client communication skills.
  • Strong case-management skills with the ability to independently manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in probate litigation, trust litigation, estate disputes, guardianship, elder law, or related trusts and estates matters is preferred but not required.
  • Federal court admission in Florida is preferred but not required.
