About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Associate with 4-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our Mumbai office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex disputes across forums, including tax matters, white-collar crime litigation, and insolvency proceedings (IBC). The role requires the ability to independently appear before courts and tribunals, manage a team of junior advocates, and coordinate closely with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in litigation and dispute resolution matters before trial courts, NCLT, High Courts, and other regulatory/tribunal forums.

  • Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, petitions, applications, affidavits, and written submissions.

  • Provide strategic advice and legal opinions on tax disputes, white collar investigations/prosecutions, and IBC matters.

  • Manage and mentor a team of 3-4 junior advocates, ensuring high-quality research, drafting, and case preparation.

  • Coordinate with external counsels and law firms, as required.

  • Maintain effective communication with clients, updating them on case strategy, progress, and hearings.

  • Ensure compliance with procedural requirements and timelines across forums.



Requirements

  • Education: LLB from a reputed law school/university.
  • Experience: 4-5 years of PQE in litigation, preferably with experience in taxation disputes, white collar crime litigation, and IBC proceedings.

  • Strong advocacy skills and ability to appear independently before trial courts, High Courts, and tribunals (such as NCLT, NCLAT, ITAT, etc.).

  • Proven ability to manage and mentor junior advocates.

  • Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written); fluency in Hindi/Marathi desirable.

  • Strong client management and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple matters, and meet strict deadlines.

  • Solid understanding of procedural and substantive aspects of Indian law in the relevant practice areas.
