Main Objectives
The Litigation Attorney main objectives are to oversee and direct all legal decisions for client cases which reach litigation status.
- Client contact. Ensure Litigation Team timely answers and returns all client calls.
- Case Development. Timely actions regarding litigation cases.
- File Documentation: Immediately document all available data in the case file. If it is not in the file, it did not happen.
Main Tasks
- Direct legal decisions throughout all phases of litigation process
- Understand applicability of laws and statutes to the potential recovery of each case
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers in order to resolve a case efficiently and for the highest possible settlement
- Negotiate personal injury settlements
- Make court appearances on behalf of the firm
- Follow up legal and ethical requirements as per the State Bar of Texas
